Press Release: Slingshot Development announces company name change to topLingo

Irvine, Calif. (May 4, 2005) – Capping off a period of record growth, Slingshot Development today announced that it has formally changed its name to topLingo, Inc.
According to President Michael Glezos, the new name better reflects the company’s creative philosophy and its role as a provider of fully integrated web development solutions.
“Effective communication is the basis of effective web development,” said Glezos. “Our success depends on our ability to communicate with clarity across every facet of our client’s organization, from marketing, to IT departments, to CEOs and executive personnel.”
Co-principal Jason Berry concurred, explaining, “The topLingo name brings sharper focus to the communications aspect of our work, to our ability to ‘speak your language’ and stand at the ‘top’ of our game.”
Since its inception, the company Glezos and Berry founded together expanded steadily from a web development firm with a small client base to an integrated development, e-marketing, and e-commerce solutions provider, with a portfolio of clients ranging from Fortune 500 giants to home business startups.
For Berry, the name change provides the company with an opportunity to leverage the creative skills it applies to client projects to its own continued growth. “Building web sites is only one piece of the unique package of services we provide,” Berry stated, adding that the topLingo name “expresses the inventiveness and flexibility of that package.”
“Every change is an opening and an opportunity, so we’re very excited about this one,” Berry concludes. “Now if we can just figure out what to do with all these toy slingshots.”
